Brian Lebiednik is a Research Scientist for the Army Cyber Institute and an Instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at West Point, where he teaches Information Technology
to cadets representing all academic disciplines. His most recent research includes implementation of BGP RPKI to secure BGP advertisements and routing and securing wireless communication in System-on-chip designs. His research interests include BGP security, Software-Defined Networking and security of Army C2 systems.
After graduating West Point in 2005, Brian deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom during the surge. Following deployment, he became the Operation Officer for the Oklahoma City Recruiting Battalion, where he converted to Functional Area 24, Telecommunications Engineer.
After completing the Telecommunincations Course, Brian worked for Army Cyber Command working DoDIN operations and the consolidation of DoD security stacks.
