Artificial Intelligence Research Team
Advancing Army capabilities through applied artificial intelligence, cyber operations research, AI-enabled decision support, and responsible AI governance.
The Artificial Intelligence Research Team conducts applied research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, military operations, and decision-making. The team develops and evaluates emerging AI capabilities while examining how to integrate these technologies responsibly into Army and cyber operations.
Research Areas
AI for Cyber Operations
Develop and evaluate artificial intelligence capabilities supporting cyber defense, cyber operations, and analysis of emerging cyber technologies.
Agentic Artificial Intelligence
Explore auditable agentic AI systems and workflows for sensitive and complex operational environments.
AI-Enabled Decision Support
Investigate the use of artificial intelligence to support military decision-making, targeting, tactical planning, and course-of-action development.
AI Governance
Examine governance challenges associated with artificial intelligence in mixed-trust and mission-critical environments and develop recommendations for responsible integration.
