Internet of Things (IoT)

Army Cyber Institute IoT LabOne of ACI’s key efforts is to explore the Internet of Things and how security can impact our everyday lives through home automation. The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the ever-growing network of physical objects that feature an IP address for internet connectivity. The purpose of our research is to explore the communication that occurs between these objects and other Internet-enabled devices and systems. This will inform how we think about Cybersecurity in the future and how we can improve network architectures and protocols to promote better security and privacy.

The goal of ACl’s IoT Security Research Lab is to enable education and research related to the Internet of Things (“IoT”). The lab exists to enable ACI personnel and our partners to develop and publish high-quality research on critical cyber-related security challenges. Our aim is to increase understanding and broaden awareness of the security issues related to our interconnected systems.  We are interested in the methodology of how to uncover these security issues, and how to develop and articulate solutions to these pervasive problems in our connected world.
